Hello All,

The 2nd Annual Tipisa Vigil Reunion will be held on December 19th, 2009 @ Camp La-no-che in the William T Bland Dining Hall.

Time: 10am - 1pm

We will have the Tipisa Lodge Museum open as well as the Lodge box for you to get all your Tipisa supplies. The Tipisa Lodge Museum does have a couple of needs and will be available to accept donations.

Also if you are interested in bringing out your patches, pictures and any other items for a “show and see” you are welcome to do also.

The food is going to be catered by the CampMasters of Camp La-no-che. You will have a choice of Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Fries and other items.

If you have any changes to your address, email, phone, BSA ID or anything else please let me know so I can update our records.

This is the same as last year you do not have to be currently registered in the lodge to attend.

150 of the patches will be for members to purchase. The other 50 are for the chapter service patch. The service patch will be given out in May 2010.

Tipisa 326 Year Patch "Chief's Jacket"

Tipisa Lodge 326, Central Florida Council Annual patch set for 2009 - 2010 is the "Lodge Name" TIPISA and the year patch is the "Chief's Jacket"

To the right is the 2009 - 2010 Chapter Ordeal Patch. It will sell for $4 and let me know if you are interested in purchasing any.

This years theme is the spelling of the lodge name.

Waga Hklago Chapter, Rolling Hills District, Cub Family Campout Oct 2 - 4th

This event will be held at the Florida Elks Youth Camp in Umatilla, FL. Waga Hklago Chapter will be running a concession stand during the weekend and will be helping with events and coordination for the weekend.

I am the chairman for the event and everything is coming together, except I am in need of a BSA certified Archery person. I need this person for Saturday October 3rd. I would supply all the meals for this person and their is no out of cost expense either. I just need to get a copy of certification prior to the event. If you know of someone please let me know ASAP or else we will not be able to have archery during our event.

The patch for the event is shown and if you are interested in purchasing one they are available for $4 each. Let me know if you are interested.

We will have the Tipisa Lodge Museum open as well as the Lodge box for you to get all your Tipisa supplies.
Also, Waga Hklago Chapter, Rolling Hills District will be holding their ordeal at camp and you are welcome to stay for the ceremonies. If you wish to stay for dinner, let me know so we can make arrangements from the chapter, fee will apply.

The date for the reunion is December 19, 2009. Planning is just starting to begin. I wanted to get the date out so you can start planning now. By the end of September you should start seeing the date in more places. It will be held at beautiful Camp La-no-che this year. We will have the Tipisa Lodge Museum open and the lodge will be having an ordeal that weekend as well. We hope to get plenty of people to stay for the day.

Jack O'Neil @ Tipisa Lodge LLDP & Banquet

Jack O'Neil National Order of the Arrow Chief will be attending the Tipisa Lodge Leadership Development Program and Annual Banquet on Saturday August 22, 2009.

It will be an honor to have the National OA Chief at our lodge event. During the annual banquet the lodge will be selling the patch pictured to the right. The cost will be approx $5 each and we have a limited amount available. The patch is also designed so Jack can add his personal signature to each one.

Look forward to seeing everyone at the LLDP & Banquet.

Tosohatchee Chapter Patch - NOAC Theme

Tosohatchee Chapter Patch - NOAC 2009 Theme

The new patch from Tosohatchee chapter with go right along with the current Tipisa NOAC 3 piece set.

The cost will be $4 and is available on pre-order now and I will be taking pre-orders at the Sunshine Trade-o-ree in Orlando (Champions Gate) on June 26 - 27th. If you pre-order the patch, it will be mailed to you prior to NOAC unless other arrangements are made.

I believe this is the first patch for the chapter in about 2 years and I think it compliments the Lodge 3 piece set very well.

Tipisa Lodge 3 Piece 2009 NOAC Set

The 2009 NOAC 3 piece set will be available for purchase at the Service Weekend. It will be sold for $11 a set. The CSP will be $3, Lodge flap $3 & Dangle $5. We will have no restriction on the number that can be purchased, as we will reorder any patches which sellout.

Patch Gathering

April 11, 2009

Today we had 10 people come out to the patch gathering. I believe everyone either walked away with a sale or purchase or trade for a need. It was another awesome event. I am happy to make arrangments for these get togethers and everyone always has a great time. I would like to thank everyone for coming out and to Terry Grove for once again letting us have it at his church the Altamonte Chapel.

I have been asked not to release the drawings of the NOAC set for 2009 from Tipisa Lodge. I can tell you the theme is "It's Magic". I know what the patches look like and I think they will turn out great. I can not release a purchase price at this time becuase we do not have an exact cost of the patch. It will be available at the Service Weekend and I will post any updates as I get them to help promote the sale of the patch.

New Estiotee Chapter Patches

Estiotee Chapter recently released to its chapter members the "Elangomat" & "Ceremonies" patches. The patches were originally produced for the Elangomat's and Ceremonialist's at their chapter ordeal. At first, you could only earn it by being on either committee. It became a problem when people from the other committee's wanted a patch. It was decided on the chapter level that they will sell them to all chapter members. They produced 50 of each patch. At the chapters February chapter meeting, the patches were almost sold out. They sold for $5 each.

The Spring Conclave will be held March 20 - 22, 2009 at Camp La-no-che. The patch theme for the weekend is "Outdoor Excursions". The patch will go on sale at the weekend and will sell for $4 each. Tipisa Native American Weekend (TNAW) Canceled

Tipisa Native American Weekend (TNAW)

Due to lack of preregistration and program for the weekend it has been canceled. The lodge already ordered the weekend patches so we get to sell them without a weekend. They are $4 to anyone who is interested. Please email me if you want any.

New Chapter Patches

New Chapter Patches:

Three chapters have come out with four new patches. Three of the patches are still available for sale while one was given out a the chapter ordeal as a "Thanks" for your help patch.

Takachsin: This is the first patch in two years for this chapter. Ordeal 2009 Full color version sold to everyone for $3 each. The grey scale patch is the "Thanks" patch and that was handed out by the Chapter Chief or the Ordeal Master for the Ordeal. Full Color version had a production run of 225 and the grey had 75 made.

Micconope: The first weekend of 2009 the chapter held its annual Lock-in but this year the patch idea came a little late to have it at the event. They pre-sold the patch and are available for $4 each while supplies last. I understand next year the event will have the patch at the event.

Woapalanne:This first patch in two years for the chapter. The patch is a standard issue patch all though the bird does have an "09" ghosted in the bird. This patch took a little longer to produce because some adults in the chapter thought they should have a voice in what the youth wanted and they convinced the youth that the chapters name means Golden Eagle, until it was pointed out to the chapter advisor that is just means Eagle. The chapter is selling the patch for $4 each while suppies last. You can look back at my blog on October 25, 2008 and you can see what the original patch was going to look like. I like this patch, but I like the original design much better.
