May 15 - 17th Tipisa Lodge will hold its annual Service Weekend where the lodge helps to prepare camp for summer camp. This is the last patch in the current series and will sell for $4 each.

This is the quarterly gathering of collectors from around Central Florida.

What to bring: Theme "Camp Patches" and the usual Tipisa, Central Florida Council, CFC Camps, Florida Section items.

New Estiotee Chapter Patches

Estiotee Chapter recently released to its chapter members the "Elangomat" & "Ceremonies" patches. The patches were originally produced for the Elangomat's and Ceremonialist's at their chapter ordeal. At first, you could only earn it by being on either committee. It became a problem when people from the other committee's wanted a patch. It was decided on the chapter level that they will sell them to all chapter members. They produced 50 of each patch. At the chapters February chapter meeting, the patches were almost sold out. They sold for $5 each.

Tipisa Spring Conclave March 2009

The Spring Conclave will be held March 20 - 22, 2009 at Camp La-no-che. The patch theme for the weekend is "Outdoor Excursions". The patch will go on sale at the weekend and will sell for $4 each. If you are interested in attanding the event please contact me for more information. We would invite any OA member from anywhere to attend our lodge spring conclave.

Tipisa Native American Weekend (TNAW) Canceled

Tipisa Native American Weekend (TNAW)

Due to lack of preregistration and program for the weekend it has been canceled. The lodge already ordered the weekend patches so we get to sell them without a weekend. They are $4 to anyone who is interested. Please email me if you want any.

New Chapter Patches

New Chapter Patches:

Three chapters have come out with four new patches. Three of the patches are still available for sale while one was given out a the chapter ordeal as a "Thanks" for your help patch.

Takachsin: This is the first patch in two years for this chapter. Ordeal 2009 Full color version sold to everyone for $3 each. The grey scale patch is the "Thanks" patch and that was handed out by the Chapter Chief or the Ordeal Master for the Ordeal. Full Color version had a production run of 225 and the grey had 75 made.

Micconope: The first weekend of 2009 the chapter held its annual Lock-in but this year the patch idea came a little late to have it at the event. They pre-sold the patch and are available for $4 each while supplies last. I understand next year the event will have the patch at the event.

Woapalanne:This first patch in two years for the chapter. The patch is a standard issue patch all though the bird does have an "09" ghosted in the bird. This patch took a little longer to produce because some adults in the chapter thought they should have a voice in what the youth wanted and they convinced the youth that the chapters name means Golden Eagle, until it was pointed out to the chapter advisor that is just means Eagle. The chapter is selling the patch for $4 each while suppies last. You can look back at my blog on October 25, 2008 and you can see what the original patch was going to look like. I like this patch, but I like the original design much better.
